Job Title: Infrastructure Cabling Technician / Electrical

Reporting to: Technical services manager

Location: Radius Technologies HQ Waterford

Job Description

Individuals with a background or some experience in construction, operating power tools, and interpreting architectural blueprints and schematics as well as education or certifications related to communications technology are preferred.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with other team members and attend job meetings as required
  • Travel to customer locations
  • Trace cabling, data, fibre optic multi conductor twisted pair
  • Must be motivated, willing to learn and goal orientated
  • Install telecommunications equipment, routers, switches, firewalls
  • Installation and configuration of network equipment, including switches, routers, servers and associated equipment for networking of IT and POS systems amongst others
  • Install, terminate, and program data cabling and associated hardware. Test and troubleshoot installed cable.
  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
  • Document network by labelling and routing equipment and cables; recording configuration diagrams and specifications.
  • Constantly update job knowledge

Job Skills and Requirements

  • CAT5 and or CAT6 structured cabling and comms cabinet configuration
  • IP routing knowledge and or exposure
  • Working knowledge of PC operations
  • 5+ years in a similar environment
  • Working knowledge of Ethernet networking
  • Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Professional communication and customer facing skills
  • Strong problem solving and diagnostic abilities
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must be able to use hand tools and test equipment
  • Minimal understanding of network wiring (Cat 5e and above cabling and termination techniques)
  • Minimal understanding of low voltage electronic circuitry and terminology (relay, contacts, AC-DC voltage, resistance, ability to read a schematic, etc.)
  • Flexible workstyle
  • Detail oriented
  • Experience of standard (250V) basic installations a bonus (Sockets, trunking, wiring. MCBs etc.)
  • Knowledge of computer operating systems such as Windows
  • Experience in construction, operating power tools, interpreting architectural blueprints and schematics, and reading technical manuals is beneficial
  • Education and/or certifications related to communications technology preferred
  • Aptitude or background for working with electronics and communications technology
  • Ability to travel to customer sites including some out of hours working from time to time
  • Ability to distinguish the full spectrum of colours in order to work with colour coded wiring
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights over 25 feet (Training can be provided)

Job Title: Cyber Security Engineer – Senior

As Radius security team are growing, we are now recruiting a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will undergo extensive training with our security specialists, while also undertaking dedicated training in Ethical Hacking, penetration testing, GDPR Auditing and certification.

Required:

  • Minimum Degree Educated
  • Relevant industry qualifications e.g.  CISSP, CISM, CSA+, SANS, CEH etc
  • Minimum five years’ experience in a similar role OR
  • Senior level IT engineer who has branched into the security space
  • Cisco certification helpful though not a prerequisite

Job Description:
